Welcome to the website of Scoil Naomh Pádraig in Ballmurphy, Co.Carlow. We thank you for taking the time to visit. We hope it gives you an insight into the life of our school and provides you with some useful information.

Scoil Naomh Pádraig is a small, rural school located in the beautiful area of Ballymurphy. Our school is a Catholic, co-educational primary school under the Patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin. It was officially opened in 1961 and is situated in the centre of Ballymurphy village, just outside Borris. It has lovely grounds for the school community to enjoy. We have two new, bright, spacious classrooms, an astro turf pitch and a grass pitch. We have also recently installed a new playground for our junior pupils. We have two mainstream teachers, one SET teacher and one S.N.A. We are lucky to have a wonderful secretary and caretaker who make sure the school runs efficiently. Over many generations people have had and continue to have an active part in our school life. We have an active Parents Association and a pro-active Board of Management who both support the school. Many people have given their time and expertise to supporting the school and local community over the years and they continue to play an active part in the life of the parish.

Ballymurphy N.S. is a school where every person is a valued member of a happy, vibrant learning community. We at Ballymurphy N.S are very proud of the school with its rich tradition of teaching and learning, together with sport and music. We take great pride in providing a safe and secure learning environment for all children of varying abilities and needs.
